Product Immersion Kicks Off at The Standard in New York City

Product Immersion launched this month with its “Create It” track where participants—or “the squad” as we call them—worked on a real-world case study. In this all day experience, squads tested their big-picture thinking, understanding of customer needs through insights and persona reviews, and even practiced some mock interviews for potential customers.

The goal: to build better digital products.





Unlike other events and conferences where you sit back and relax (and perhaps doze off), the attendees were engaged from the moment they walked in the door. The squad was made up of 20 professionals with backgrounds in product management, design, business and engineering coming from companies such as Two Sigma, McKinsey, OXO, and many other big companies and startups.


With the help of industry facilitators, they broke up into groups for deeper dives in solving the problem at hand. the day centered around a case study focused on building a robust digital product.

The teams then got to unwind at The Standard’s Garden Room for a happy hour (the whiskey drink special was especially popular).
